Why has the Promised Messiah not been accepted?

Sadly this has always been the case whenever a prophet appears in the world. We can look into the Holy Qur’an at every advent of a prophet and we see the same pattern. As the prophet has come to guide people, unfortunately, people do not want to be guided. They believe they are right and do not want to listen to the prophet and so reject him and persecute his followers.

What happened to our beloved Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, when he delivered Allah’s message to his people? Did not the Quraish reject him, abuse him and force him to leave? Was not the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, a good man; was not his message also good? But the people did not want to listen to him and accept Allah’s message.

What happened to Hazrat Isa (Jesus), may peace be upon him, when he took Allah’s message to the Jews? Did they not reject him, abuse him and try to kill him? Was not Hazrat Isa, may peace be upon him, a good man and was not his message also good? And so it was with every prophet, despite being good and pious men bringing a message from Allah, the people rejected them and persecuted them. The Holy Qur’an states that all prophets have been mocked by their people:

“Alas for My servants! There comes not a Messenger to them but they mock at him.”
Holy Qur’an, Chapter 36, verse 31

It is the same these days. Despite Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, may peace be upon him, being sent by Allah, the people do not want to be told that they are not following Islam properly and so they oppose him. But remember that Allah is with him and as it states in the Holy Qur’an:

“…And they planned and Allah also planned, and Allah is the Best of planners”
Holy Qur’an, Chapter 8, verse 31

Alhamdulillah, Allah is supporting Ahmadiyyat and although this sect started off from only one man, with Allah’s support, it has grown and grown and spread all over the world and it will continue to grow until the majority of the people of the world will accept Islam, Insha’Allah.
