Truthfulness of the Promised Messiah: IX – Victorious

The 9th Criteria is that a Prophet of Allah should have the support of Allah and he should be victorious. If he is really from God, then he should have the help and support of Allah behind him. The Holy Qur’an is very clear, it states

Allah has decreed, ‘Most surely I will prevail, I and my Messengers’
Holy Qur’an Chapter 58, verse 22

The Holy Bible states

Mention of Theudas and Judes of Galilee who got a following but perished, But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it Holy Bible – Book of Acts Chapter 5, verse 36

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, may peace be upon him, was a champion of Islam, respected by all, feared by his opponents. But once he made the claim to be a Prophet, then suddenly, all the Muslims turned against him and persecution started. The same thing happened to the Holy Prophet may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, Jesus, may peace be upon him, etc. Despite only having a few followers in the begining and even to this day there are only around few million followers in Pakistan, yet still after over 100 years of persecution, they have failed to prevent his message from spreading.

One of the prophecies that he received was “I will cause thy message to go to the corners of the world”, and Ahmadiyyat is now spread all over the world. Every time the Muslims destroy one of our Mosques, we build many more. Despite their efforts to suppress our message, through our TV station MTA International, http://www.mta.tv/ it is being broadcasted throughout the world every minute of the day. So the Muslims should think about this?

  • When the Tsunami happened in Indonesia in 2004, it was a very good opportunity for Allah to punish us, if we were wrong. Yet not one Ahmadi died! The Indonesian Government actually removed some Ahmadis from one village and that same village was completely wiped out when the Tsunami hit.
  • When the earthquake happened in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh in 2005, where there are the most of our followers, whilst no doubt they may have had some of our homes destroyed, yet Allah protected the lives of the Ahmadis.
  • Even in the time of the Promised Messiah, may peace be upon him, a plague hit India and he made the bold statement that‘Fire is our slave, nay the slave of slaves.’ On receiving such revelations he declared that he and his followers would remain relatively immune from the deadly effects of the plague. He also announced that the town of Qadian would suffer much less than other places; that here the plague would not be so deadly as in other places and that the house in which he lived would remain completely immune.
  • After these declarations the plague made its appearance in the sub-continent and wrought havoc. Every year hundreds of thousands of people died from it. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s followers suffered the fatal effects of the plague much less than others. This went on for several years. Many people were impressed. Thousands joined the fold. In fact the great majority of his followers at that time were the result of this sign. (Invitation to Ahmadiyyat p211)

So the Muslim should think about this, why doesn’t Allah destroy us? It is easy for Allah to do that. When they made the law in Pakistan that we were non-Muslims, the 4th Khalifa (rh) was advised by his advisors to leave the country. He left and went to Karachi to board the plane for England and despite clear instructions being given to the authorities not to allow the Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Movement to leave. On his passport it stated ‘Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Movement’; but by mistake, the order gave the name of the 3rd Khalifa Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad and not the 4th Khalifa Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, so they allowed him to leave. Why didn’t Allah prevent him from leaving, instead it seems that he had the help of Allah. Therefore we believe that we have the full support of Allah and that is manifested over and over again.
